Bree moved to Ipswich Town on loan from Aston Villa in January.

Ipswich Town have dropped their on-loan Aston Villa right-back, James Bree, for Tuesday’s trip to Bristol City.

Bree had started seven of a possible seven league games since his January move to Ipswich, where he is managed by the former Aston Villa boss, Paul Lambert.

But the 21-year-old has been relegated to the subs’ bench at Ashton Gate, in favour of Josh Emmanuel.

Aston Villa paid around £3 million to sign Bree from Barnsley two years ago.

But the Yorkshireman has found life difficult at Villa Park, despite experiencing a brief revival earlier this campaign.

He still has two full seasons left on his Aston Villa contract, although his future at the club looks very much uncertain.

Can Bree still have an impact at Ipswich / Villa?
