Sega Fes 2019 will celebrate Atlus’ past as well as look forward to the studio’s future, and Persona 5 R will be featured on the main stage.

We’ve known that Atlus will be present at Sega Fes 2019 for quite some time, but now we officially know that Persona 5 will be featured on the main stage, and that the developer’s past, present, and future will all be covered. With Persona 5 R awaiting more news in March (with a rumoured announcement for the Switch supposedly being made before May), it’s possible we could see a trailer and release date for the mysterious and anticipated project.

Per Sega’s website, there will be a “Great Atlus Exhibition” that will cover the developer’s most iconic franchises such as Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Etrian Odyssey, as well as focus on the studio’s past, present, and future. While it would be naïve to believe that Atlus are gearing up to announce some Persona remakes (despite the inquiry nature of their USA and Japanese surveys), it’s possible we could see Katsura Hashino’s ambitious new RPG which plans to redefine the fantasy genre.

As for Persona 5 R, Atlus’ fifth instalment is teased for the main stage as seen in the image below. With an announcement for Joker in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate planned before April, it’s possible we could have his rumoured arena confirmed, as well as be given clarification as to whether he will indeed have a female variant.

In other Atlus news, the voice actress for Rin in Catherine: Full Body has responded to controversial leaks about her character’s identity and the remake’s new endings.
