Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Granit Xhaka against Rennes on Thursday evening.
Xhaka featured for Arsenal in their Europa League Round of 16 first-leg tie against Rennes away from home in France.
The 26-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Premier League club lost 3-1 and have a tough task in the second leg at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
The Switzerland international started the game well and passed the ball around comfortably, but he struggled thereafter, picked up a yellow card and could have even been sent off.
According to WhoScored, Xhaka had a pass accuracy of 70%, won two headers, made one tackle, one interception, and played one key pass.
So far this season, the midfielder has made 24 appearances in the Premier League, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
Arsenal fans were not impressed with the display produced by Xhaka, and have criticised the former Basel and Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder on Twitter.

What is it about Xhaka? He can make 100 mistakes and yet the managers always seem to start him and give him 90 mins #AFC— #HalfaDozen (@Shakerthebaker) March 7, 2019
