Demba Ba quit Newcastle United back in 2013, but he regrets it.
Demba Ba has revealed on Twitter that he wished he had stayed longer at Newcastle United.
The Senegal striker joined Chelsea in a £7 million deal in 2013 [The Telegraph], after a goal-laden 18-month spell at St James’s Park.
Ba, now 33, scored 29 Premier League goals in 54 outings for Newcastle.
The former Magpies hitman has since had two stints in China, before signing for Istanbul Basaksehir in January.
But, in response to a Newcastle fan on Twitter, Ba admitted that he regretted leaving United so soon – and some supporters of the North-East club are telling him to come back.

Could Ba still be a force in the Premier League?
Well he’s 33, so his pace will have declined in a major way since leaving Tyneside six years ago, but speed wasn’t a major asset for him to begin with and therefore he is still probably an able goalscorer without some.
He has netted two goals in four substitute appearances for Basaksehir, but England’s top flight is on another level to Turkey’s top tier.
Some Newcastle fans might want him back, but it’s likely more due to sentiment than logic at this point. Yes, he was a great goalscorer for United, but his time has been and gone.
