Leeds defender Pascal Struijk is enjoying a terrific season.

Leeds United’s under-23 side are enjoying a great moment, sitting four points clear at the top of their division.
First team boss Marcelo Bielsa has given several of the young players looks in the senior set up.
One who has not yet had a chance is Pascal Struijk. It’s only a matter of time.
Struijk signed for Leeds at the end of January 2018, leaving Ajax’s academy.
The Dutch under-19 international has become a regular at centre-back for Leeds’ under-23s.
He has struck up an impressive partnership with Finnish defender Aapo Halme, who has already featured for Leeds’ first team.

Halme may be ahead of him in Marcelo Bielsa’s mind, but Struijk surely can’t be far behind.
Earlier this week Struijk shone as Leeds kept a clean sheet against Watford, before scoring a header from a free-kick in a 3-0 away win.
The intensity of the Championship run in means Leeds are not in a position to simply throw in young defensive players right now, and pre-season could be Struijk’s best chance to impress.
He is currently shaping up as a breakout star, and next season could be a big year for him.
