Seven players Everton can realistically sell this summer

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton have plenty of valuable assets who could be moved on at the end of the season.

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton boss Marco Silva has a lot of work to do this summer, if he is to build a squad who are capable of making a push for the top six next season.

The problem for the Portuguese is that he will probably not be given lavish funds in order to bolster his ranks sufficiently, having spent so heavily over the past 12 months.

Silva may instead have to sell before he can buy, and with that in mind, here are nine Everton players who could realistically be let go this summer...

Leighton Baines:

The experienced left-back has fallen behind Lucas Digne in the left-back pecking order this season, and with his contract set to expire in the summer, he could very well be let go by the Toffees.

Estimated value: £0

Seamus Coleman:

Another experienced Everton ace, Coleman's performances has drastically regressed this season, and the 30-year-old could be used to garner funds for Silva to reinvest in a younger model.

Estimated value: £15 million

Phil Jagielka:

The 36-year-old's current contract with the Toffees expires in the summer, and it is highly unlikely that he will be offered a new deal at Goodison Park.

Estimated value: £0

Idrissa Gueye:

The Senegalese ace was heavily linked with a move away from Everton in the summer, with the Mirror suggesting that he could be sold for £40 million.

And it could be hard for the Toffees to keep hold of the midfielder if they receive an offer in that region for his services in the summer.

James McCarthy:

The Republic of Ireland international could leave Goodison Park this summer, with the Daily Mail reporting that he is keen to bring his time with the Toffees to an end.

Estimated value: £10 million

Morgan Schneiderlin:

The Frenchman has never really hit the heights expected of him after his move to Everton in 2017, although he is arguably one of their most sellable assets.

Estimated value: £20 million

Cenk Tosun:

The Turkey international has really flopped since joining Everton last year, and it would be no surprise to see the Merseyside outfit cut their losses on the striker in the summer.

Estimated value: £15 million
