Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa shared his analysis of Derby County.

Derby County’s spiralling form got worse at the weekend when they were hammered 4-0 by Aston Villa.

Frank Lampard’s side appear to be in freefall, with three straight league defeats.

The Rams are five games without a win in all competitions.

Digging further back, Derby have won just two of seven Championship games since their loss at Leeds United.

The 2-0 Elland Road defeat is notable as it led to Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa sharing to the world his analysis of Lampard’s Derby County.

Derby had complained to the EFL about Leeds ‘spying’ on their training – which eventually saw the Whites slapped with a £200,000 fine (BBC).

Bielsa’s response to the furore was to hold a press conference showcasing his analysis, deconstructing Derby’s set up and tactical approach.

Is it a coincidence that Derby’s form has since crashed?

Or have Championship teams been studying Bielsa’s breakdown of Frank Lampard’s work?

The only way for Derby to prevent these questions is to start winning again, and the Rams may need to reinvent themselves to do so.
