Some Celtic fans on Twitter have mocked Brendan Rodgers after he suffered a defeat on his managerial debut for Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes were beaten 2-1 at Watford in the Premier League, with striker Andre Gray netting a last-minute winner for his side after Jamie Vardy had cancelled out Troy Deeney’s opener.

Earlier on in the week, Rodgers opted to make the surprise decision in leaving Parkhead for the King Power Stadium despite coming towards the business end of the season.

In Scotland, Rodgers was on course to win the treble-treble in Glasgow, but his decision to leave in such an abrupt manner for a mid-table Premier League club hasn’t sat well with supporters.

Therefore, watching him lose his opening game, and that to a last-minute goal, was something which the Celtic faithful couldn’t help but laugh about.

Some Bhoys fans on Twitter stated if he suffers more defeats then the Northen Irishman will be back managing Dundee, while others labelled the Midlands club as ‘part-timers’.

Here is a selection of Celtic fans reacting on Twitter to Rodgers losing in his first game for the Foxes:

While Rodgers was losing his opening match, his former club progressed through to the next round of the Scottish Cup after they beat Hibernian on Saturday.

Earlier on in the week, in Neil Lennon’s first game in charge, they netted a stoppage-time winner at Hearts to seal all three points in the Premiership.
