Despite its director having been accused of “pushing an agenda” by an angry mob of gamers triggered by fan art, Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us Part 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2019. Granted, it’s not officially announced for this year, but the game’s composer has said it’s coming “very soon”, an ex-IGN editor tweeted that it is 100% confirmed for 2019, and now a retailer has potentially leaked its release date.
Unlike Amazon Italy which previously leaked an unrealistic release date in March, the Peruvian gaming retailer LAWGAMERS (via The Loot Gaming) has promoted the sequel with a more realistic launch in October. This is still a rumour rather than anything official, but a Q4 2019 release seems entirely plausible.
If The Last Of Us Part 2 does come out in Fall 2019, then it’ll be competing against EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as well as potentially Square Enix’s MAJOR game and the much rumoured Batman: Arkham Crisis.
