Atlus Japan has released a survey asking fans if they want Persona 5 and 6 on Nintendo Switch and PC.
It’s an exciting time to be a fan of Persona and Atlus. A recent dig into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s game files suggests that the arena for Persona 5’s Joker will be Mementos and that the Phantom Thieves’ leader will have a female alternative. Persona 5 for the Nintendo Switch has also been potentially leaked for Fall 2019 with a confirmation supposedly being announced before May, and Atlus Japan are now asking fans if they want to see Persona remakes and the sixth instalment on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC.
Atlus USA recently launched their own survey asking fans about the possibility of Persona remakes, and now the Japanese arm has released their very own questionnaire. The developer asks if you’d like to play the already disappointing Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, Catherine: Full Body, Persona 5, and Etrian Odyssey Nexus on home consoles, smartphones, or portable consoles, before querying about the future of Persona.
The developer asks whether we are interested in a Persona action RPG, a Persona board game, a Persona action adventure, a Persona 5 fighting game, a Persona online RPG, a Persona simulation RPG, a Persona visual novel, or a completely new Persona 6. Atlus also asks whether we’d be interested in playing these on PlayStation 4, Switch, PC, mobile, or “other”.
With the same possible platforms listed, Atlus also asks if we want remakes for Persona 1 to 5, along with the Persona Q Series and other Atlus franchises like the numbered Etrian Odyssey games, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, and Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers.
This survey doesn’t necessarily mean that Atlus has any intent on releasing Persona 5 on PC, or giving us the remakes of Persona 3: FES and Persona 4: Golden we so desperately want, but the tease of a Persona Visual Novel is awfully exciting.
