Chelsea cruised to a 2-0 Premier League win against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday with Christian Eriksen well below par.

With just three months left in this Premier League season, are Tottenham Hotspur fans seeing the last of Christian Eriksen?

It is no secret that the influential Dane is out of contract in 2020 and, with Spurs struggling to tie him down to a new deal, his future is up in the air.

The Independent reported in January that Real Madrid are planning to offer £100 million this summer, with Eriksen allegedly keen to play for one of the Spanish super clubs as he enters his prime.

But, if the former Ajax midfielder does bid farewell to North London in the summer, he is hardly going out with a bang as things stand. Not for the first time recently, Eriksen was well below par as Tottenham slumped to successive defeats in the Premier League, following Saturday’s loss at Burnley with a 2-0 collapse at Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old, who arrived in England five years ago, has looked a shadow of his former self in the last few months and Tottenham fans are getting worried.

Is his head in Spain already?
