"Persona 5 R" is coming to Switch in Fall 2019

Atlus' Persona 5 R is supposedly coming to the Nintendo Switch in Fall 2019 as Persona 5 S.

Before it was officially announced by Atlus, Persona 5 R was rumoured to be an extension similar to Persona 4: Golden that would be available for both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Although many believe it’s now only coming to the PlayStation 4 thanks to Atlus’ reveal trailer only showing Sony’s logo, the rumours about Persona 5 S have again heated up.

Mr. Ohya, who previously started the rumours about Persona 5 R being in the works and coming to the Nintendo Switch, has tweeted that Persona 5 S is real and will be announced before May. They also state that it will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 during Fall 2019.

Persona 5 on the Nintendo Switch seems all but confirmed as Atlus registered a Persona 5 S domain back in December 2018, and the game’s main character Joker is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sometime before April. With Atlus being confirmed for Sega Fes 2019, it’s possible we could get the Nintendo Switch announcement on March 30-31.

In other Atlus and Persona 5 news, a recent datamine suggests there will be a female Joker for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and that the arena for the Phantom Thieves' leader will be Mementos.
