Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have criticised manager Mauricio Pochettino for his decision regarding Harry Winks against Burnley.
Winks featured for Tottenham in their Premier League game against Burnley away from home at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.
The England international midfielder started the match and played for 62 minutes, as the North London outfit lost 2-1.
According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 92.5%, made two clearances, and played one key pass.
Winks was not exactly great for Spurs, but the youngster kept the North London outfit ticking in the middle of the match and worked hard.
The defeat to Burnley means that Tottenham are now third in the Premier League table with 60 points from 27 matches, five points behind Manchester City and Liverpool, who are first and second respectively in the standings.
Tottenham fans were not pleased with Pochettino’s decision to take off Winks and bring on Fernando Llorente in his place against the Clarets at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.

- Continuing to play Foyth when he struggled throughout
- Taking Winks off where we lost structure
- Playing Eriksen in a deep role who shies away from a tackle
- Lucas needed to come on earlier & utilise his pace down the flanks
- A general off day
We did not create a chance after the equaliser. Doesn't matter how many attacking players are on the pitch at once if there is no supply. Eriksen was dreadful and taking off Winks with 30 minutes to go was bizarre.— Robert (@Robert_THFC) February 23, 2019
Personally I don’t know why Winks came off ..... did u not notice how untidy we was in midfield when he came off #thfc— SirCraigGeest (@thegreatgeesty) February 23, 2019
Not good enough. We have to get results at places like Burnley. We was sapped of creativity. He then takes Winks off for FL. When everyone could see bringing Foyth off for FL was the change to be made and go to a straight 442. Barnes and Wood were just more physical than us today— Jack Perchard (@ThePerchy) February 23, 2019
We lost all control when he took Winks off for Llorente— Hamid (@HamidTHFC) February 23, 2019
