Achraf Lazaar, signed on loan from Newcastle United in the January transfer window, was in action for Sheffield Wednesday against Swansea City.

Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Newcastle United-owned defender Achraf Lazaar against Swansea City.

Lazaar, who joined Wednesday on loan from Premier League club Newcastle in the January transfer window, featured for the Owls in their Championship game against Swansea at the Hillsborough Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old left-back started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Owls got the better of the Swans 3-1.

According to WhoScored, the Morocco international had a pass accuracy of 61.5%, won two headers, and made three tackles, 11 interceptions and four clearances.

The left-back was superb on his competitive debut for Wednesday, as the Morocco international read the game well, looked confident in possession and was brilliant with his left foot.

The win against Swansea means that Steve Bruce’s side are nine points off the Championship playoffs at the moment.
