West Ham United and Southampton reportedly want to bring nine-goal Eredivisie striker Dolberg to the Premier League next summer.

West Ham United and Southampton are interested in signing the gifted Ajax forward Kasper Dolberg, according to Calciomercato.

A 21-year-old Dane blessed with ice-cool finishing, Dolberg established himself as one of Europe’s most promising strikers during an outstanding 2016/17 campaign with the Amsterdam giants, scoring 23 goals in all competitions as Peter Bosz’s free-flowing side defied expectations to reach the Europa League final.

After missing much of last season through injury, Dolberg has been back to his best in recent months. The skilful striker has rotated with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar but has still managed to score nine times in 11 Eredivisie starts.

As a result, both West Ham and Southampton are reportedly keen to bring Dolberg to England.

Manuel Pellegrini and Ralph Hasenhuttl are both lacking a natural-born goal-scorer and the Ajax starlet is a player who makes putting the ball into the back of the net look remarkably easy.

His rangy stance and eye-catching technique has drawn comparison with another player who made his name at the Amsterdam Arena, a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Speaking in 2016, Ajax teammate Joel Veltman compared Dolberg to the former AC Milan, PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United striker, claiming he is even more reliable in one-on-one situations.
