Everton youngster Einar Iversen happy he joined Toffees

Everton prospect Einar Iversen has told the club’s official website that he is happy he joined the club.

Iversen was signed by Everton in 2017 from Norwegian club Stord.

The midfielder is a key part of Everton’s under-18 side, who are into the FA Youth Cup quarter finals.

Iversen is determined to help the young team go on and win the trophy.

He said: “The coaches and facilities here are brilliant, and the club is really good at developing young talent. It’s the best place for me.

“I felt at home at Everton right from the start. It’s like a big family here.

“We have done well so far this year. Hopefully we can go on and win things this season now. That’s what we want to do.”

Everton have one of the best academies in the country and Iversen is an example of their wide ranging recruitment.

The midfielder has a long way to go until he starts pushing for the first team, but right now he is happy with the current challenges he is being presented with.

He is certainly a name for Everton fans to keep an eye on in the near future.
