Lage was part of Carlos Carvalhal's backroom teams at Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City.

One of Carlos Carvalhal's coaches at Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City has been given a four-year deal to lead one of Europe's biggest clubs.
Bruno Lage was made interim boss of Benfica at the start of the year and was later rewarded with a contract until the end of the campaign.
But after winning 10 out of his first 11 games in charge - including the recent 10-0 win against Nacional da Madeira - the Eagles have chosen to take action.

Lage, who began the season as coach of Benfica's B team, has reunited with another member of Carvalhal's Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea backroom team at Estadio da Luz.
Jhony Conceicao, who worked as a video analyst at Hillsborough and the Liberty Stadium, has since assumed the same position in Lisbon.

Carvalhal twice led Sheffield Wednesday to the Championship play-offs, and very nearly kept Swansea in the Premier League against the odds.
Nevertheless, the 53-year-old remains out of work nine months after his departure from the Welsh side.
Coudl Lage have done a job for Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea City this season?
