The Reds head into tonight's game on the back of a mixed run of form that has seen them win three, lose two and draw two of their last seven outings in all competitions.
Liverpool currently sit in second spot in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester City, although they do have a game in hand on the champions.
Bayern, meanwhile, have only lost one game in all competitions since November 24th, and they also sit in second spot in the Bundesliga, three points adrift of league leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Both teams will be confident of securing a positive result tonight, so there should be an enthralling game of football on display at Anfield.

Liverpool will be desperate to take some kind of advantage into the second-leg at the Allianz Arena, whilst Bayern will be hoping to score at least one away goal.
The game kicks off tonight at 20:00 and can be seen exclusively live on BT Sport.
