The 18-year-old put in a solid performance for the Whites in their Under-23s win over their Bolton counterparts.

Leeds United Under-23s extended their lead at the top of Professional Development League Group North on Monday thanks to a 2-0 win over their Bolton Wanderers counterparts.

Carlos Corberan’s side are now four points clear at the top of the table with six games remaining after victory over the Trotters, who now have seven defeats from their last nine games in the division.

The 1pm kickoff at Elland Road remained goalless until past the hour mark, when two goals came in quick succession, the breakthrough on 62 minutes when Jordan Stevens rounded Jake Turner and slotted into the empty net after Hugo Diaz’s pinpoint pass from 40 yards out.

Scott Brown and an emotional Celtic farewell

Just two minutes later the hosts were further ahead as Robbie Gotts latched on to a scooped pass and, timing the bounce right, chipped the Bolton goalkeeper and found the back of the net for a healthy advantage.

Alfie McCalmont, who came on at half time for Stuart Dallas and put in a solid performance deemed 7 out of 10 by Leeds Live, took to Twitter after the game and gave his thoughts on the match and beyond:
