Crystal Palace reportedly want to bring Kouame to the Premier League but Serie A champions Juventus are allegedly keen to raid Genoa, too.
Crystal Palace are battling Juventus to sign the promising Genoa forward Christian Kouame at the end of this season, as reported by Calciomercato.
The 21-year-old Ivorian only arrived at Genoa from Serie B outfit Cittadella in July but he has been a huge hit at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, producing four goals and four assists in his first season in the top tier of Italian football.
A direct and speedy forward who is excellent in the air, Genoa face a challenge ensuring that Kouame stays for a second season. It is understood that Juventus are interested despite the treasure trove of attacking riches already available to Max Allegri in Turin.
Napoli are also understood to be keen but president Aurelio Di Laurentiis would rather sign the prolific Mexican winger Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven.
Calciomercato, however, reports that there is also interest from outside of Italy. Crystal Palace want to bring Kouame to the Premier League though they will have to pay around £22 million with Genoa refusing to let their prize asset go on the cheap.
Such a fee would make Kouame the third most expensive player in the Eagles’ history, behind Mamadou Sakho and Christian Benteke.
