McDonald’s posts French fry carton shoe in Balenciaga dig


The fast-food giant has finally responded to a pair of shoes debuted in the fashion house’s summer collection that looked like the packaging.

McDonald’s Sweden has launched a tongue-in-cheek campaign to pass off French fry cartons as shoes, stating: “If we get 103,042 likes we release these for real.”

In a dig at a pair of shoes debuted by Balenciaga last summer, the fast-food outlet has posted onto its social channels following months of jibes from social media users at the fashion house for the red, square-toed shoes’ release.
