Celtic attacker Oliver Burke hails Scott Brown.

On loan Celtic star Oliver Burke has hailed the influence of teammate Scott Brown.

The Celtic captain has been a key part of the side’s recent form and Burke says he has been a big help off the pitch as well as on it.

Burke is on loan at Celtic until the end of the season from West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies paid £15 million to sign Burke in 2017, The Express and Star reported.

Burke told Celtic’s official website: “The players have been great with me, too. Scott Brown is a great character and a great guy, a big leader and he will always work his socks off. He’s the kind of guy that will put his arm round you and make sure you’re okay.

“My confidence right now is really high, I’m really happy with where I am with Celtic, and we go into the Valencia game aiming to win.”

Celtic’s Europa League tie is arguably the biggest game of Burke’s career.

He is in terrific form, having hit the ground running since signing on loan.

Burke can add to his reputation with a big performance against the La Liga side.
