Gazeta Wyborcza reported late last month that the Scottish Premiership champions were planning a £4.3 million for the young Polish defender with Brendan Rodgers desperate to bring a new right-back to Parkhead.
A move to Glasgow failed to materialise, however, meaning the 20-year-old will finish the season in his homeland.
But Onet believes that Gumny is now preparing to change clubs in the summer, although his first focus is to recover from an injury that has kept him on the sidelines of late. The report adds that Borussia Monchengladbach were close to signing him 13 months ago, only for the deal to fall through.
It remains to be seen whether a move to Celtic is still on the cards.
Jeremy Toljan arrived at Parkhead on loan from Borussia Dortmund but there is no purchase clause in his contract, meaning his long-term future is still up in the air.
Even if Toljan does stay at Celtic, Mikael Lustig (below) is out of contract in four months’ time while Cristian Gamboa is also expected to leave.
