Tottenham defender Carter-Vickers's loan side Swansea City take on Leeds on Wednesday night.
Cameron Carter-Vickers has told Swansea City's official website that he is looking forward to playing in front of Leeds United's fans at Elland Road on Wednesday evening.
On loan from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season, the 21-year-old has been in and out of the Swansea side this season but has started the Welsh side's last four games.
The seven-time USA international has impressed at the back for Swansea, helping the Swans keep four clean sheets in 14 Championship appearances. He will be looking to make it five in 15 on Wednesday night.
Carter-Vickers was asked about Leeds fans and the famous Elland Road atmosphere ahead of the Championship clash, before stating that playing for Sheffield United in the 2-1 win at Elland Road last season was one of his favourite matches.
“It was probably up there with one of my most favourite games,” Carter-Vickers said, reflecting on the Blades 2-1 win in October 2017. “Whenever you play at Elland Road it is a good atmosphere.
"They get right behind their team so it will be our job to keep them quiet and get our fans going. They are the atmospheres you want to play in. Big stadiums and loud crowds inspire us further. We have to use that as motivation in tonight’s game.
“Saturday’s result against Millwall will give us confidence. We have two tough games in a short space of time is what is another busy week of football. We have to be right and we have to be ready.”
Leeds played out an enthralling 2-2 draw last time out against Swansea, with the Welsh side being pegged back twice by Marcelo Bielsa's men. Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez cancelled out Oli McBurnie's brace.
Bielsa's side sit in second place and two points behind leaders Norwich City going into Wednesday night's fixtures. Leeds can go top with a win, but only if Preston secure an unlikely win against the Canaries.
