Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Delaney has described Tottenham Hotspur counterpart and fellow Denmark international Christian Eriksen has a 'big, big talent' ahead of tonight's Champions League clash.
Delaney could come up against his fellow countryman at Wembley as Tottenham host the Bundesliga leaders in the first leg of a last-16 encounter.
It was put to Delaney if he was surprised that a player of the 27-year-old's vintage had never reached a Champions League final.
"That's a big burden to put on his shoulders to expect that from him," the 27-year-old told a press conference, via Football London.
"But I am very happy to see him at Tottenham. It seems like a great club where he feels confident and where he can express his big, big talent."
Tottenham fans will be delighted to see Delaney be speak respectfully toward their club, and each one of Lucien Favre's side must give Mauricio Pochettino's troops the same respect.
If they underestimate the North Londoners - without Harry Kane and Dele Alli - then that could be a fatal error because, despite missing some of their heavy hitters, Pochettino has other players to seriously hurt the Germans.
In addition to Eriksen, the Lilywhites also boast a certain Son Heung-min who it seems cannot stop scoring at the minute.
