The Reds midfielder picked up his second Man of the Match award on his second start but some fans thought he didn't look pleased - and with good reason.
Tuesday night left a bitter taste in the mouth of many a Nottingham Forest fan after their efforts at West Bromwich Albion were rewarded with just one point following a controversial end-of-game moment at The Hawthorns.
However, one positive from the Championship game was the display of Ryan Yates, who despite his young age has impressed once again for the Reds and was awarded with his second Man of the Match award on his second start for his exploits against the Baggies.
The 21-year-old played a big role in the visitors' opener at The Hawthorns as his early effort was deflected into the Baggies' net by Stefan Johansen, their defender, and even though Jacob Murphy subsequently equalised, Yates struck back with a goal of his own.
Sadly for Forest and for Yates, his efforts could not yield all three points due to Dwight Gayle going to ground in the Reds box under no contact in the presence of Alexander Milosevic, and with a penalty awarded, Jay Rodriguez converted for a final score of 2-2.
The youngster was photographed with the match award and the image shared on Forest's Twitter page with praise for their player:
Some Forest fans shared their thoughts on Yates on the social media platform, ranging from his performance and overall credentials to his facial expression in the photo:

Well done Ryan. We were robbed of 3 points. No wonder you looked upset.— Margaret Gannaway (@MargaretGannawa) February 13, 2019
