Tottenham Hotspur are one of Europe's most in-form sides.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochetitno addressed the media during his pre-match press conference yesterday, and shared a statistic that he saw on television that proves just how good his team have been over the past couple of months, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, five points adrift of league leaders Manchester City and second placed Liverpool, although they do have a game in hand over Pep Guardiola's side.
Tottenham are also in with a chance of progressing through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, although they will have their work cut-out against a Borussia Dortmund side that currently tops the Bundesliga.
The Lilywhites have been on a fine run of form over the past couple of months, winning 13 out of the 18 games that they have played since December 5th.
And Pochettino used that run as evidence of just how good his Tottenham side have been recently, as quoted by Football.London:
"The other day I saw on TV that from the beginning of December we're the best team in the Premier League. That talked very highly about the squad, the players and they fully deserve all the credit. We're doing a fantastic job."
Tottenham do, of course, still have a lot of work to do, if they are to win either the Premier League or the Champions League this season, but the fact that they are still well in with a chance of doing just that in mid-February speaks volumes of how far they have come under Pochettino.
