Liverpool sold Suso to AC Milan for just £1m but now the Spanish winger could return to the Premier League with Arsenal.
Arsenal could highlight one of Liverpool’s most expensive mistakes by luring Suso to the Emirates in the summer of 2019, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
Every team has their ‘one that got away’. For all their attacking riches, Manchester City must be ruing the day when Jadon Sancho decided to join Borussia Dortmund, while Manchester United were forced to pay a club record fee for Paul Pogba, four years after he left Old Trafford for free.
Chelsea fans, meanwhile, must shiver every time they see Mo Salah or Kevin de Bruyne strut their stuff at the top of the Premier League.
And Suso is perhaps the one player Liverpool will regret letting go. Back in January 2015, the young Spanish winger was sold to AC Milan for just £1 million, according to the Mail, and it is fair to say he is worth a lot more than that now.
25-year-old Suso has established himself as one of Serie A’s most dangerous attacking talents in the last few seasons, scoring six goals and producing eight assists in all competitions this season for Gennaro Gattuso’s side.
According to TMW, Arsenal sent scouts to watch the Spain international in action during Milan’s 3-0 thrashing of Cagliari on Sunday. Suso could replace the departing Aaron Ramsey at the Emirates.
Just imagine if Suso moves to North London and shines under Unai Emery. Liverpool would be left very red faced, albeit £1 million richer.
