Tottenham fans react to reports Spurs are interested in signing Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge

The Liverpool striker could remain in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are reacting to reports linking their side with a move for the Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge.

According to the Daily Mirror, Spurs interested in signing Sturridge when his Liverpool contract expires this summer.


The 29-year-old has found it difficult to dislodge the Reds' regular front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah these past two seasons, and is said to be interesting several clubs at home and abroad.

But the newspaper adds he could be tempted to remain in the Premier League with Tottenham.

It is claimed that Sturridge is wanted by Mauricio Pocchettino's side as back-up to Harry Kane, with Fernando Llorente set to leave at the end of the campaign.

Signing Sturridge, who has 26 caps for England, would help to boost Tottenham's number of home-grown players.
