Tottenham Hotspur fans are reacting to reports linking their side with a move for the Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge.
The 29-year-old has found it difficult to dislodge the Reds' regular front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah these past two seasons, and is said to be interesting several clubs at home and abroad.
But the newspaper adds he could be tempted to remain in the Premier League with Tottenham.
It is claimed that Sturridge is wanted by Mauricio Pocchettino's side as back-up to Harry Kane, with Fernando Llorente set to leave at the end of the campaign.
But what do Tottenham fans make of the speculation? This is what they're saying about Sturridge, who according to the Daily Mirror earns £120,000-a-week at Liverpool...
Yeah I’d take Sturridge over llorente and Janssen— James king #COYS (@jamesjahillking) 12 February 2019
Id take him— Cenk (@ForzaYids) 12 February 2019
Well worth it on a free— Chris wood (@chrisgwood6) 12 February 2019
I'd take him. He'd be a good squad player and Poch could possibly get him playing back to his best.— David (@Synth3r) 12 February 2019
Come to Spurs, take a 25% pay cut..— Ricky (@Spillett33) 12 February 2019
I wouldn’t be totally against this, Studge has his moments— • (@RegistaaRole) 12 February 2019
This is actually a great fit. Willing to be a back up with less work load due to constantly having injury issues. Sure he may not be peak sturridge, but he’s a good alternative to Kane and (arguably) better than Llorente. https://t.co/PGWf7F8mFi— USCOYS (@OSUSpurs) 12 February 2019
Sturridge on a free in the summer will do— Mo (@MIG311200) 12 February 2019
No doubting his class when fit and available, but would he want to move from their bench to ours.— Gareth McCarter (@g2mcc) 12 February 2019
He does not deserve a place at spurs and should never be linked to spurs— paul murray (@murray1234) 12 February 2019
W H Y ? ? Another player that could disrupt the squad— Little Ant (@Ant_j72) 12 February 2019

Good Lord...we are really playing up to this reputation we have of signing massively shit strikers!!— ░P░o░c░h░S░p░u░r░ (@ThruxtonJay) 12 February 2019
Complete benchwarmer. Injured all the time. He won’t keep up with our fitness regime— Neil Dhot (@neil_dhot) 12 February 2019
Signing Sturridge, who has 26 caps for England, would help to boost Tottenham's number of home-grown players.
The former Manchester City and Cheslea player has scored 77 goals in 213 Premier League appearances.
Would the Liverpool striker be a good addition for Tottenham?
