Marcelo Bielsa is doing a wonderful job at Leeds United, and there is no surprise to see that Everton are reportedly looking at him.

According to The Mirror, Everton are interested in appointing Bielsa as their new manager in the summer of 2019.

Marco Silva is in charge of the Toffees at the moment and was appointed in the role in the summer of 2018.

Much was expected of the Merseyside outfit this season when Silva arrived at Goodison Park, but things are not going according to plan at Goodison Park at the moment.

According to The Mirror, Everton officials have been impressed with the work Bielsa is doing at Leeds, who are currently second in the Championship table.

Former Aston Villa and Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino was discussing the speculation on the Weekend Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Sunday morning (7:49am, February 10, 2019), and he posed an interesting question regarding whether or Bielsa should move from Everton to Leeds.

Cascarino said: “Shall I send social media nuts here? Is Leeds a bigger club than Everton? I am just asking the question.”

Praise for Eoghan Stokes

Meanwhile, Derry City manager Declan Devine has suggested that Eoghan Stokes is unlucky not to be still at Leeds.

The 22-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, has joined Derry.

The former Republic of Ireland Under-19 was on the books of Leeds from 2012 until February 2018.

Devine told The Derry Journal about Stokes: “He’s a very talented boy. He was very unfortunate not to still be at Leeds United.

“I was impressed by him last year having watched him numerous times with Bohemians and he will add a lot of attacking qualities moving forward.”
