Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has taken to Twitter to send a message to Newcastle United fans following the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday evening.

Newcastle played out a 1-1 draw with Wolves away from home at the Molineux Stadium in the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez’s side took the lead in the 56th minute through Isaac Hayden, and Willy Boly restored parity for the home team in the fifth minute of injury time.

It was a controversial equaliser for Wolves, as the play went on for more minutes of injury time that it was supposed to, and there was also the suspicion that Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka was fouled.

Just like Newcastle, Southampton also conceded a late goal at the weekend, going down 2-1 to Cardiff City at St. Mary's Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.

The results mean that Southampton are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment, while Newcastle are just a point above them in 16th.
