Everton are allegedly watching and waiting with Thomas Meunier seemingly entering his final few months as a PSG player.
According to Le10 Sport, the Belgian international is no longer in Thomas Tuchel’s plans at the Parc des Princes, having started just 13 Ligue 1 games this season. And, with Meunier’s contract due to expire in 2020, it is expected that PSG will sell the right-back this summer rather than risk losing him for free.
The report adds that Everton are interested in offering the 27-year-old a fresh start in the summer. But The Toffees are not the only Premier League outfit who could benefit from a player of Meunier’s consistency and technical ability from the full-back position.
Tottenham might be able to call on Kieran Tripper and Serge Aurier, but the former has been a shadow of the rampaging right-back who shone for England en route to the World Cup semi-finals.
Aurier, meanwhile, appears to have lost the trust of manager Mauricio Pochettino with just five Premier League starts to his name.
So what are the chances that Spurs are planning to raid PSG again, after the signings of Lucas Moura and Aurier himself?
Meunier has the wonderful crossing ability of Trippier or Aurier but without the defensive lapses, meaning he would give Tottenham far more balance at the back without losing any quality at the other end.
