Oh hi, Shark! Tommy Wiseau is back and in the director's chair for a new film 16 years after The Room
The mysterious film maker made his directorial debut with 2003's The Room, a film which has gone down in history for all the wrong reasons.
You can watch the brand new trailer for Big Shark below.
Wiseau's most famous, or should I say infamous, work is undoubtedly 2003's The Room. It's a film so bad that it's grown a cult audience of fans who thrive off the dreadful acting, directing and overall quality of the film.
The Room even earned the title 'the Citizen Kane of Bad Movies.'
The film's troubled production became the subject of a book and later in 2017, a film, The Disaster Artist.
The film retold the events surrounding the making of The Room, with James Franco directing and portraying the enigmatic figure of Tommy Wiseau. Unlike its source material, Franco's The Disaster Artist was well-received by both critics and fans of The Room, earning back its $10m budget three times over at the box office.
Now, in 2019, Wiseau looks set to dust of his director's chair and give it another go.
However, a quick glance at the trailer for Big Shark will show you that Wiseau's talents have not improved over the last 16 years. The trailer for Big Shark looks absolutely dreadful and could well rival The Room in quality, or lack thereof.
If you're a regular cinema goer, looking for a good film to watch, made by competent film makers, then Big Shark may be one to miss.
But if you're a fan of Tommy Wiseau's The Room however, then I'm sure this film could be just for you. If you're the type of person to see bad movies purely for how bad they are, then Big Shark is certainly a film to keep an eye on.
