Cardiff City central defender Sol Bamba predicted on Sky Sports News on Monday afternoon (12:56pm, February 11, 2019) that Leeds United will win automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Bamba, who played for Leeds before joining Cardiff in 2016, has also backed Norwich City to finish in the top two of the Championship table this campaign.
Norwich are at the top of the league table at the moment with 60 points from 31 matches, two points clear of second-placed Leeds.
Bamba said on Sky Sports News on Monday afternoon (12:56pm, February 11, 2019): “I will back my old team Leeds. Definitely. I think the top two, as it is, I think, are going to go up.”
Automatic promotion for Leeds United
Leeds have been superb for most of the season, but in recent weeks, there have been signs that they are slowing down.
There has been a dip in form over the past few weeks, which is why Marcelo Bielsa’s side are now only three points clear of third-placed Sheffield United.
The Elland Road faithful, though, must be optimistic about the rest of the season, as Bielsa is a very good manager.
Bielsa has a plan that he stuck to throughout the campaign, and it is only a matter of time before Leeds get there mojo back and put together a run of positive results.
