Burke, who joined the Glasgow giants on loan from West Brom in the Championship in England in the January transfer window, limped off during the 5-0 win against St. Johnstone at Celtic Park in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Celtic boss Rodgers has allayed the fans’ concern, and has said that the 21-year-old - who has been deployed as a striker by the former Liverpool boss - will be fit for the match against Valencia.
When asked if Burke would be fit for the match against Valencia, Rodgers told The Scottish Sun: "I think so, yeah. He just twisted his ankle a little bit so we're hoping he'll be OK.”
Valencia are a very good team, and for Celtic to win the first leg at home on Thursday evening, they need all of their best players available; Burke’s availability is certainly great for the Glasgow giants.
Burke has been superb for the Hoops since his loan move from West Brom, and the pace of the Scotland international will be something that will trouble the Valencia defence.
