Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Newcastle United-owned winger Rolando Aarons against Reading.

Aarons, who joined Wednesday on loan from Premier League club Newcastle in the January transfer window, was in action for the Owls in their Championship game against Reading at the Hillsborough Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old winger did not start the match, but the former England Under-20 international came on as a substitute in the 65th minute, as it finished in a goalless draw.

 

Aarons made an immediate impact on the match after coming on as a substitute, as the winger showed his tricks, and added pace and creativity to the team.

According to WhoScored, the winger took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 90.9%, and made one tackle and one clearance against Reading.

The draw with Reading means that Steve Bruce’s side are 16th in the Championship table at the moment with 39 points from 30 matches.

Wednesday fans were impressed with the performance of Aarons and have praised the Newcastle-owned winger on Twitter.
