Jack Clarke went to hospital during Leeds United's draw at Middlesbrough.

Leeds United's draw at Middlesbrough on Saturday was overshadowed by health concerns over Jack Clarke.

Play was halted in the second half when Clarke fell ill on the substitutes bench, before being treated by paramedics at the Riverside.

The 18-year-old, taken off by Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa at half time, was transferred to a nearby hospital.

It was a worrying time and Luke Ayling's reaction to seeing his team-mate receive treatment summed up the incident.

Sky Sports reported today that the young winger had left The James Cook University Hospital.

Leeds struck a last-gasp equaliser through Kalvin Phillips in the 11th minute of additional time, a goal which sent United back to the Championship's summit on the day.

It was the 23-year-old's first goal of the season in any competition and, going by the photos, he enjoyed it. Embed from Getty Images

Bielsa's side have since been usurped at the top of the table by Norwich, who thumped Ipswich Town 3-0 at Carrow Road this afternoon.

The Elland Road side are back in action on Wednesday when Swansea City visit West Yorkshire, but it remains to be seen if Clarke will be available for selection.
