From Best Album to Best Video, these are the official results of this year’s Grammy awards. We didn’t get them all right, but we weren’t that far off.
Long the butt of jokes and serious op-ed pieces that hinge on the question of whether or not anyone (potential audience or even nominated artist) really cares who wins, the 2019 Grammys are nonetheless upon us.
With K-Pop giants BTS due to make an appearance but invitations to perform declined by the likes of Ariana Grande and Kendrick Lamar the show itself this year at the very least will be a mixed and somewhat half-empty bag. The nominations themselves are — except for a few standout titles almost certain to come through from the likes of Childish Gambino and Cardi B. — nothing too surprising to write home about either.
With all that in mind, however, we’ve gone ahead and made some predictions as per who might and who should win this year’s awards. We could be wrong. But we shouldn’t be.
