The director for the Metal Gear Solid movie says Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is a "miracle" that will blow everyone away like Mad Max: Fury Road.
Norman Reedus has said Death Stranding is "crazy complicated", Mads Mikkelsen has said it makes him feel stupid, and now Metal Gear Solid director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has said “it’s a miracle”. Given the explicit blessing of Hideo Kojima to be responsible for the Metal Gear Solid movie, the director of Kong: Skull Island and The Kings Of Summer is a proud video game fan who has described Death Stranding in the most bonkers of ways.
After being given a taste of Death Stranding behind-closed-doors, Vogt-Roberts couldn’t help but share his impressions on Twitter:
So @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN let me play DEATH STRANDING❗️The world is next-level immaculate. It’s like freebasing pure Kojima & Shinkawa. Remember when FURY ROAD blew you away but also made you (in the best-most-thankful way) ask “wtf” how does this miracle exist? YOU. ARE. NOT. READY❗️ pic.twitter.com/RkVxtZCcbj— Jordan Vogt-Roberts (@VogtRoberts) February 6, 2019
Other than the tease that we “are not ready”, the most mouth-watering bit of Vogt-Roberts’ post is that Death Stranding will blow everyone away similar to Mad Max: Fury Road. Now, of course Death Stranding is nothing like George Miller’s Oscar-winning masterpiece, but Vogt-Roberts’ tease suggests it will be as revolutionary.
