Celtic full-back Emilio Izaguirre could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
Celtic supporters have criticised Brendan Rodgers for not speaking strongly enough about the tackle on Emilio Izaguirre last night
Izaguirre was stretchered off during Celtic’s match against Hibernian yesterday, after a nasty challenge from Darnell Johnson left him in pain.
The full-back could now face the prospect of having to spend time on the sidelines.
And Rodgers said: “It was a clumsy challenge on him. The medical team tell me they think he’s got away with it, little bit sore but should be fine in a few days.”

The comments have not gone down well with Celtic fans, who feel that Rodgers should have been stronger.
Celtic supporters feel that their players have faced too many poor challenges this season, and they want Rodgers to make more of a stand against it.
If we`re not calling this constant thuggery out, we`ll need to think about buying a couple of bruisers to mind the midfield.— Tam (@TamMcKenna1888) February 6, 2019
Straight red card. Time to call this out!!!— Tommy Melly (@TommyMelly1973) February 6, 2019
Brendan, it wasn’t clumsy because it was deliberate challenge. Good news about Izzy!— LouMun 67 (@lfmunro) February 7, 2019
It was a disgrace and we as supporters are sick of watching our players being assaulted without consequence. BR, less so?— James Gang (@JamesGang5446) February 6, 2019

It’s about time we started calling these challenges out. McGinn at Pittodrie and tonight were shockers.— ryan (@rdk7) February 6, 2019
It’s time Rodgers grew a pair and called out on the shocking treatment of our players!— Craig Trainor (@craigt1981) February 6, 2019

Clumsy, no Boss, wreckless, we need to start standing up and taking action.— Danny (@DanTheManMax) February 6, 2019
Celtic are now very short at left-back, with Kieran Tierney also out with injury.
The Bhoys are next in action on Sunday, when they take on St. Johnstone at Parkhead.
