Dark Horse Comics has big plans to celebrate iconic antihero Hellboy’s birthday.
It sure is a big year for Hellboy fans. The two previous film adaptations directed by Guillermo del Toro almost feel like a different memory now that we are fully aware a third will never arrive. Fortunately, a new adaptation is on the way courtesy of filmmaker Neil Marshall, who has helmed such works as The Descent, Dog Soldiers, and has even directed episodes of the hit HBO show Game of Thrones.
The divisive trailer caused quite the discussion online; some praised it, some downright condemned it on entry. Despite conflicting opinions, you’d better believe both parties’ intrigue will draw them into theatres when Hellboy releases April 12, 2019. For those who feel disappointed, not to worry – Dark Horse Comics has a surprise for you.
