The Hollywood star has finally addressed rumours that he's set to take on the role of Indiana Jones.
Chris Pratt is no stranger to a franchise. He's a valuable asset to the MCU, appearing as Guardians of the Galaxy's Star-Lord and reprising the role in subsequent studio efforts. He is also a key player in the Jurassic World series and is set to lend his unique charisma to The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part later this year.
He's a talented and charming performer, and as many have noted, would be a great choice to carry an Indiana Jones reboot. Harrison Ford's iconic character is one of the most universally adored in cinema history; an embodiment of adventure and courage. The initial trilogy was immensely popular, making it no surprise that a fourth instalment eventually materialised. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was incredibly divisive, and since then, most fans have argued that sequels should cease, or - you guessed it - be rebooted.
The two most popular names mentioned to tackle the role are Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born, The Hangover). In the upcoming Lego Movie sequel, Pratt will be voicing an archaeologist character, causing many to speculate the implications. However, the star spoke out to RTÉ Entertainment, saying that: "There was speculation around whether or not I would do Indiana Jones and I think that's why they put that in there, maybe hedging their bets in case I did that one day, the movie would hold up... But there's no more information about that now than there was before." So, it looks like we'll have to keep guessing. Bradley Cooper, anyone?
