The Villa winger is edging closer to a return to action but has been active in supporting his club and teammates on social media while out.
The 23-year-old has not played since early December due to a shin injury picked up in the Championship derby match against West Bromwich Albion and the Villans have struggled in his absence, securing only two wins since his stint on the sidelines.
However, Grealish could be set to make his return by the end of this month, according to a Sky Sports News report, which would be great news for the team, currently four points off the playoffs with 16 games of the Championship season to go.
The homegrown talent has struck up a good friendship with John McGinn, who joined Villa from Hibernian last summer and has been fruitful for the West Midlands club, with two goals and seven assists in 27 league games (Transfermarkt).
On Tuesday, Grealish posted an image on his Twitter account of the two players with the words "caption this":
And McGinn himself responded with a funny self-deprecating message:
Why you still getting spots at 24— John McGinn (@jmcginn7) 5 February 2019
Such exchanges on Twitter reflect a good camaraderie between the two and fans will no doubt be eager to see them reunited on the pitch, hopefully providing the goals and assists to help the club back into the playoff picture.
