Frank Ocean’s tumblr hacked, hints at Kendrick Lamar and SZA collaboration

Frank Ocean performs at The Parklife Festival 2017 at Heaton Park on June 11, 2017 in Manchester, England.

SZA, Kendrick and André 3000 have all apparently contributed to the Frank Ocean track.

Having already disappointed fans and pleased purists this last week by denying that his 2016 visual album, Endless, is coming to streaming platforms, Frank Ocean has teased new material in a typically cryptic tumblr post.

Or at least that’s how it first appeared. But, in the wake of the perceived announcement, appearing on the likes of Pigeons & Planes, Highsnobiety and other entertainment news sites, another message appeared on Ocean’s preferred social media network.

It seems that, through no fault of Ocean’s own, fans of the enigmatic artist will be disappointed again by news that the post was the result of a hacked account and — unfortunately — there is no planned release. That being said, the hacker claims ‘SpirDark’ is a “legit track.” So check back for any potential updates.

In the meantime why not tide yourself over with Ocean’s recent cover of SZA’s ‘The Weekend‘?
