Filip Benkovic is injured and Dedryck Boyata has only recently returned to full training after being missing for a few weeks, meaning that Jack Hendry and Nir Bitton are the best candidates to partner Jozo Simunovic when Hibernian visit Parkhead tomorrow night.

Big Norwegian centre-back Ajer was sent off in the 2-0 win at St Johnstone this past weekend.

Davies, Rodgers's number two, said that the Hoops have a number of 'quality' options by way of replacements, but Celtic fans are hoping that the Northern Irishman doesn't pick Hendry.

You have to feel for Hendry. He has had a rotten first full season at Parkhead and hasn't kicked a ball under Rodgers in any competition since October.

The 23-year-old arrived in Glasgow with so much promise a little over 12 months ago, but he has struggled with a loss of form and confidence since then, often finding himself the victim of criticism from Bhoys fans on Twitter.

If he plays tomorrow, it's really make or break for his Celtic career.
