The Handmaid's Tale is back, and it's time to wake up.
There are so many important television shows right now, and The Handmaid's Tale is one of them. Its vision of an American dystopia hit our screens in 2017 and is back again for the third season. Bruce Miller's series based on Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel of the same name has won numerous Golden Globes and other accolades; deservedly so.
It is a series which strives to say something, and this latest teaser - which aired during the Super Bowl - was heard loud and clear. Here it is:
"It's morning again in America," the narration announces; offering audiences a schmaltzy faux advertisement of which quickly descends into chaos. "Wake up America... morning's over." It's a bold trailer, signalling something truly immense to come. It's not often that a series boasts such a sense of urgency, but alas, The Handmaid's Tale possesses such power. Season three is coming soon.
