Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts 3 beat Capcom's Resident Evil 2 Remake in the UK sales charts.

Per Games Industry, Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts 3 has beaten Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 Remake to the number 1 spot in the UK sales charts. While the PlayStation 4 accounted for 82 percent of Kingdom Hearts 3’s physical sales, the Resident Evil 2 Remake has exceeded Capcom’s expectations by becoming their biggest launch since Resident Evil 7.

In other Kingdom Hearts 3 news, there’s a heart-breaking Final Fantasy easter egg, but a surprising lack of spikey haired and angsty heroes with gigantic swords. As for Capcom and Resident Evil, producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi says fans must demand a Nemesis remake for it to happen, and Resident Evil 8 is rumoured to be ditching the seventh instalment’s first-person perspective.
