Bayern Munich travel to Liverpool for the first-leg of their last 16 Champions League tie in two weeks time.

Liverpool have received a potential boost ahead of their Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich in two week’s time, with the news that Manuel Neuer could miss the clash with a hand injury, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Reds are currently sit at the top of the Premier League table, whilst Bayern are struggling in the Bundesliga, seven points adrift of league leaders Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool will fancy their chances of beating the five-time winners, but they cannot underestimate the Germans.

On their day, Niko Kovač’s side are still one of Europe’s best teams, but they will have their work cut-out against the Merseyside outfit.

Especially if the latest reports are true.

The Liverpool Echo claims that the Bavarian giants could be without one of their key men – Manuel Neuer, for the first-leg of their last 16 tie with Liverpool at Anfield on February 19th.

The 32-year-old is one of the continent’s finest goalkeepers, and Bayern’s chances of progressing through against Liverpool will be greatly hampered if he is not available for either or both of the games.
