Kent, who joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Liverpool in the summer of 2018, scored for the Gers in their 4-0 win against St. Mirren at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old winger has made 13 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring five goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
The former England Under-20 international has been brilliant for the Gers so far this season, but manager Gerrard wants to push him even more and make him better.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official Twitter page about Kent: “He has been excellent for us. He is in good form, he is happy, but I am going to push him.
“I am going to keep pushing him because I want him to more hungry, to score more goals. I want him to keep being hungry to improve his numbers.”

Encouraging for Rangers and Liverpool
Kent is a very good winger and the youngster has been one of the best players for Rangers so far this season, and Gerrard’s plan to push him even more can only be good news for the Gers and Liverpool.
With Kent scheduled to return to Liverpool at the end of the season, if he is pushed and urged to become better in the coming months, then it can only benefit him in regard to breaking to Jurgen Klopp’s team.
