Harry Redknapp makes a revelation about Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer situation.

Harry Redknapp has revealed on BT Sport’s Twitter account that he knows ‘for a fact’ that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino did not want to sign anyone in January.

Spurs haven’t signed a single player in any of the club’s last two transfer windows.

This decision has attracted criticism from Tottenham fans and pundits alike, but Pochettino’s side beat Newcastle 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday to move second in the Premier League table.

The Argentine manager kept his cards close to his chest during the January window, and Redknapp reckons that the former Southampton boss did not want any signings.

“He has got a fantastic squad there. They have got fantastic centre-halves and midfielders galore,” former Lilywhites boss Redknapp told BT Sport’s Twitter account

“Pochettino didn’t want any players. I know that for a fact. He is happy with his squad and they have proven him right.”

Their lack of spending does just go to show what a fantastic job he is doing – and without Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Tottenham came from behind to beat Watford in midweek, before edging out Newcastle yesterday. Late goals were required on both occasions and although you could argue that Spurs shouldn’t need late winners against opposition like that at Wembley, it still illustrates that he has a fantastic squad and one that is difficult to improve.
